The job role:

Reporting directly to the Head of the Projects Department, you will be part of a large projects team that covers all new store fit outs and existing store re-fits globally.

You will be responsible for designing all exterior and interior signage for all the Sports Direct Group stores worldwide.

    Essential skills:
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Experience in creating digital graphics and assets
  • Excellent reporting skills at every stage of the design and artwork process
  • Excellent collaborative skills to work closely with senior account managers and account executives.
  • A good understanding of brand and corporate guidelines
  • Methodical approach to archiving images and artwork
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Experience in liaising with and Local Government departments
  • Able to manage large workloads and deal with challenges in a professional manner to make sure planning schedules run smoothly
  • Able to work as part of a team with excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexible to the needs of the business
    Desirable but not essential:
  • Experience in the sign making industry
  • Car driver
  • Ability to speak a 2nd European language

  • To open and check all artwork received from Andesign customers, via email, download or disc is fit for purpose
  • To liaise with customers via email or telephone if artwork received is incorrect and assist in correcting any problems
  • To send any proofs of artwork to clients, as necessary
  • To ensure that all artwork fit for purpose is sent to print on time
  • To ensure that all printed material is in line with customers’ requirements, before it goes on to a secondary process and the ISO9001 printing procedure is followed.
  • To put into production, items as outlined within the daily job schedule as outlined by the Studio Manager
  • To ensure that all printed material approved, is clearly marked with the correct job number and job bag, in order that finishing can be carried out without problems
  • To ensure the Job Bag process is correctly maintained, i.e. tagged and dated
  • To check all completed work
  • To ensure that a good Health & Safety standard is met at all times

  • Represent a positive Company image and communicate new/existing products and services effectively to clients
  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organising daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature
  • Make appointments to meet new and existing clients

  • To provide effective sign and graphics manufacture and assembly, ensuring customer requirements and satisfaction is achieved at all times.
  • You must be willing to travel throughout the UK showing a degree of flexibility with time as work often requires installing outside of normal working hours and on occasions stay away as required to meet the customers’ expectations.
  • To maintain a professional manner at all times when on customers’ premises, leaving any area of work clean and tidy.
  • To manufacture and apply vinyl graphics on site and within Andesigns’ production facility as detailed in the customers specification.
  • To ensure all items are packaged correctly according to the detailed delivery method.
  • Load and unload company vehicles, ensuring signs are well protected at all times.
  • To ensure the Job Bag process is correctly maintained, i.e. tagged and dated and the finishing/fitting procedure is correctly followed.
  • To check all completed work.
  • To ensure tools, machinery & access equipment is maintained, and kept in clean, good working order.
  • To work at height when required.
  • To use portable access equipment and operate light machinery and tools as required.
  • To ensure that a good Health & Safety standard is achieved at all times.
  • To finish work as requested by the Production Manager or Graphics Manager and detailed within the works order.
  • To undertake any other activities as requested by your manager.
